Q. What are the current building code requirements for an Egress Window?
A. Window openings must be no less than 20" wide and no less than 24" tall but must equal a minimum 5.7 square feet of net clear opening. The sill height must be less than 44" from the floor. The window wells must be 9 square feet with a min 3 foot projection and if the window well is deeper than 44" a permanent ladder or steps must be installed in the window well.

A. No, this work happens in finished spaces quite often and we always leave your home cleaner when the job is completed than when we arrive.
Q. Can this work be done in inclement weather conditions?
A. As we all know Colorado climate can change often but we can usually be as efficient as well as neat and clean in most weather conditions Colorado can present including both summer heat and winter snows.
Q. How long does it take to install a egress window?
A. Some contractors claim it can be done in a day, but for us our typical installation takes approximately 2 days. We like to ensure all of the details are carefully completed step by step, and to also to be onsite for the final building inspection to be able to answer any questions an inspector may have for the contractor of record to ensure you pass without any additional headaches.
